Open beta + new ways to collaborate

We’re excited to announce that Atomic is now in open beta. As of today anyone can set up an account and start prototyping in seconds. If you don’t have one already, you can grab a free account today.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has tested Atomic over the last few months while it’s been in private beta. We’ve received and responded to over 1,500 pieces of feedback, all of which have helped immensely in shaping the product, squashing bugs and helping set the future direction of Atomic. We couldn’t have made it this far without you all, so thank you.

Powerful new ways to collaborate

We know that great products aren’t designed in a silo, they require a meeting of minds across the whole business. In Atomic you’ve always been able share your designs easily and gather feedback, and today we’re excited to release our next step in helping teams truly collaborate on design.

You can now invite teammates into your projects to work together on the same set of designs. Multiple people can even edit the same design simultaneously, without the fear of conflicts or confusion. When you start editing a page, other users will see the page as ‘locked’ until you have finished with it. It’s a simple way to work on the same design or prototype together, without tripping over each other.

What’s next

It’s great to make it this far, but there’s so much more to come. Improved control over animation, more gestures and layout tools are just some of things we’ll be working on in the coming weeks, along with fine-tuning the performance and stability. If you have a suggestion, fire it through to support@atomic.io. We’d love your feedback, as always.
